Cost Effective Nutritional Analysis

 

 

HAPA Food Quality Management, along with CAIMA, are pleased to announce that we are able to provide cost effective nutritional analysis to small and medium sized food manufacturing companies using a state-of-the-art computer software program.

 

The software we use (*), provides full labeling capabilities and provides nutritional information in the Canadian label format as required by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.  It bridges the gap between nutritional analysis software and label creation.  Using this software, we can save you time, money and the frustration of repeatedly outsourcing wet lab analysis.  We will work along with you as you grow your business.  Working in conjunction with us would be equivalent to having your own nutrition lab and label designer in your office.  We will provide you with quick results and help you maximize cost effectiveness of your nutritional analysis.

 

The database used in this software contains over 26,000 foods and food items, including raw materials, chemicals and food industry ingredients.  The data used in this software has been sourced from the Canadian Nutrient File, USDA nutrient data, manufacturer’s data and reference data for more than 1400 scientific sources.  USDA research labs, hospitals, colleges and universities, medical research centers, government agencies, corporate and business wellness programs, food

manufacturers and food service organizations, currently use this program.  With this software, we can provide you with scientifically sound nutrition information for your recipes and formulations. Using this program, we are able to analyze up to 133 nutritional components including vitamins, minerals, saturated fats, trans fats, monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, amino acids, sugars, and other components.  We can generate a Nutrition Facts Panel based on the new Canadian nutritional labeling requirements in 6 approved formats for products sold in Canada.  Labels are camera-ready bitmaps that can be easily printed or exported.

 

This program goes beyond nutritional analysis and can also be used for ingredient statements, cost entry and calculations, yield adjustments, moisture and fat processing, identifying allergens as well as a wide variety of analysis and reports that display ratios and percents of components.
