The Pastry Chefs Guild of Ontario Inc. receives letter patent top operate under new name

Members of the Board of "The Pastry Chefs Guild of Ontario Inc.", namely Alfred Tappen, Egon Keller and Al Criminisi, applied for and received a letter patent from the Industry Canada Minister as of November 22, 2001 to operate an organization under the name "Canadian Pastry Chefs Guild Inc."

The organization of "The Pastry Chefs Guild of Ontario Inc." will be affiliated and associated with the "Canadian Pastry Chefs Guild Inc."

A Constitution for the "Canadian Pastry Chefs Guild Inc." was presented and accepted by its directors at the inaugural meeting on May 16, 2002.

The objectives of the corporation are:

-to promote and to seek to improve the standards of the Pastry Chef trade.

-to promote the trade education of its members

-to encourage the exchange of ideas related to the trade

-to promote co-operation among its members

-to encourage eligible members of the trade to join the Canadian Pastry Chefs Guild Inc.

-to offer counsel to the Government of Canada on matters related to the Pastry Chef trade.

Membership in the "Canadian Pastry Chefs Guild Inc." will be open to persons interesting in furthering the objectives of the corporation.
